For travelers who arranged flights to Manila and would like to know interesting and “must-see” destinations in this busy city, listed below are some sites:

-National Museum of the Philippines

This museum is the official storage of the most treasured masterpieces in the country. It contains the renowned Spolarium, by Filipino artist Juan Luna, along with historical pieces. Its conveniently situated in the vicinity of various other attractions like Intramuros and Rizal Park.

-The University of Santo Tomas

This academic facility is the oldest existing university in Asia. Established in 1611, it was initially located in one other historical site, Intramuros. University of Santo Tomas (UST) is the alma mater of four Filipino heroes who actually shaped the fate of the nation: Jose Rizal, Marcelo H. del Pilar, Emilio Jacinto, and Apolinario Mabini. Many Philippine presidents just like Diosdado Macapagal, Manuel Luiz Quezon, Jose P. Laurel and Sergio Osmena studied here; and plenty of other chief justices of the Supreme Court, senators, scientists, congressmen, architects, engineers and prominent writers. Two popes – Pope Paul VI and Pope John Paul II, and lots of heads of states and foreign dignitaries also stopped at UST.

-Intramuros
